Pediatric Echosonographer Position Full-Time

We are looking for a vibrant, fun, and compassionate echo technologist to join our pediatric cardiac private practice family as a second technician. This subspecialty position is responsible for performing non-invasive standard and complex congenital transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) according to the guidelines and standards set by the IAC and the American Society of Echocardiography.

Patient population ranges from premature newborns to young adults. The echosonographer must be skilled in working with pediatric patients with a wide variety of complex medical and psychosocial conditions. Must have patience and compassion to work with patients who may be ill or frightened, and treat all patients and their families with care and respect. Must be technology-minded, detail-oriented, and able to follow precise directions.

Our office has one location in Overland Park. Staff includes three pediatric cardiologists in addition to one echosonographer, nurse, care assistant, and administration staff. As we are a small, team-oriented office, the echosonographer may also be asked to perform ECG's, Holter monitor hookup, assess and chart vitals, perform urinalyses, and assist in a variety of office tasks such as, but not limited to, scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, and managing patient referrals.

This echosonographer position will begin by servicing the Overland Park Kansas City Pediatric Cardiology clinic, as well as providing echocardiogram services to the St Luke's Hospital systems as needed.
