We specialize in congenital heart problems from birth to adult. We will see children for evaluation of heart problems including murmurs, a weak heart (cardiomyopathy), heart inflammation (myocarditis and Kawasaki disease), too fast or too slow heart rates (tachycardia and bradycardia), high blood pressure (hypertension), high cholesterol (lipid disorders), chest pain, palpitations, dizziness, fainting (syncope), blackouts, loss of consciousness, and a family history of heart disease to name a few.
KC Pediatric Cardiology offers cardiology consultations, cardiac sports screening, echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, Holter monitors, and Event Recorders. We also have expertise in diagnosing heart problems in babies before birth. We offer detailed fetal echocardiograms and specialized counseling to help families understand what to expect and to prepare even before their baby is born.
Cardiac Evaluation
We specialize in evaluating children with concerning symptoms, such as chest pain, dizziness, fainting, murmurs, or feeling the heart racing or skipping beats. During your clinic visit, your child will undergo specialized testing to evaluate the heart. Testing results are available immediately, and then you will sit down with one of our cardiologists to answer all your questions answered before leaving our clinic.
Cardiac Screening for Sports Participation
Because of the concern about sudden cardiac death in athletes, we provide cardiac screening for conditions that can cause cardiac arrest. This can be done during a routine visit to our office. We also provide KidHeart Screens as an affordable and convenient option when an athlete otherwise has no concerning symptoms.

Our physicians are experts in the diagnosis of congenital heart defects. We even have specialized expertise in diagnosing heart problems before birth. Advanced Cardiac Testing
To better serve you, we provide specialized cardiac testing and same-day results in both our office locations. This specialized testing includes: 12-Lead ECGs (Electrocardiograms), Transthoracic Echocardiograms, Holter Monitors, Event Monitors, and Urinalysis. We have established relationships to refer patients for advanced imaging (cardiac CT or MRI), Electrophysiology testing and procedures, exercise stress testing, invasive cardiac catheterizations, and cardiac surgery.
